About

Morris F. McAdoo was born and raised in a small town in Central North Carolina, just 90 minutes from Charlotte, where his mother and grandmother instilled in him a deep commitment to community service. A lifelong advocate for justice, fairness, and opportunity, Morris has built his career on protecting vulnerable communities and strengthening the voice of those too often left out.

Morris is the founder and managing partner of the McAdoo Law Group, headquartered in Uptown Charlotte, where he has dedicated his practice to serving small businesses and individuals in their civil law needs. He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney, where he often prosecuted cases on behalf of special needs victims. After his time as a prosecutor, Morris dedicated seven years of his practice to serving the needs of persons with disabilities and advocating for their rights under state and federal law. He has also spent time training fellow attorneys by teaching continuing legal education courses in these areas.

A graduate of North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Morris first worked in benefits administration for a Big Four accounting firm before earning his law degree from the Delaware School of Law.

In Charlotte, Morris has served on various boards in the community including the Board of Directors of the John S. Leary Bar Association of Black Attorneys, the Privatization and Competition Advisory Board for the City of Charlotte, the Advisory Committee for Legal Aid, the Board of Directors for the Black Political Caucus, and the North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers. He is also a founding board member of the PSF Foundation, which operates the Sugar Creek 21st Century Community Learning Center, supporting students in North Charlotte.

Morris, his wife, and their young son make their home in North Charlotte. He is running to represent District 106 to bring principled leadership, accessible representation, and a commitment to the needs of the families and individuals in District 106.
