About Me
I was born and raised in a small town in Central North Carolina, just ninety minutes from Charlotte, where my mother and grandmother instilled in me a deep commitment to community service and responsibility. From an early age, I learned that true leadership comes from listening, serving others, and standing up for what’s right — even when it’s difficult.

That commitment has guided me throughout my life and career. As a prosecutor in Forsyth County, I stood up for special needs victims who often had no one else to fight for them. Later, I devoted years of my legal practice to advocating for people with disabilities — ensuring their rights were upheld and their voices were heard. Today, as the founder of the McAdoo Law Group in Uptown Charlotte, I continue to serve small businesses and individuals, helping families and communities navigate challenges with dignity and fairness.

My service extends beyond the courtroom. In Charlotte, I’ve been honored to serve on the boards of the John S. Leary Bar Association of Black Attorneys, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, Legal Aid, the Black Political Caucus, the North Carolina Association of Black Attorneys, the Privatization/Competition Advisory Committee for the City of Charlotte and the PSF Foundation, which supports our young people in North Charlotte. I am also proud to be a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., where the commitment to achievement and community service mirrors the values I strive to live by each day.

Each of these experiences has deepened my belief that every community deserves principled leadership that is accessible, accountable, and unafraid to do the hard work.
I’m running for the North Carolina House of Representatives District 106 because our families deserve a strong, consistent voice in Raleigh — one that puts people before politics. I want to ensure that every child has access to quality education, every worker has fair opportunities, and every neighborhood in our district has the resources it needs to thrive.

Vision & Agenda
Public Safety in District 106
As a former prosecutor, I have seen firsthand the importance of strong public safety systems that keep our communities secure. Public safety is not just a talking point—it is a lived responsibility. That’s why I am committed to advocating for adequate funding for more police officers, court staff, and prosecutors, so that cases are handled efficiently, justice is served, and victims’ voices are heard without unnecessary delays.

Mental Health Advocacy and Services for District 106
That is why I will fight to ensure that our state makes a real investment in expanded mental health services. This includes more outpatient care so individuals can receive treatment in their own communities, additional psychiatric beds so hospitals are not forced to turn people away, and fully funded mobile crisis units that can respond in real time when families face emergencies.

Affordable Housing for Our District
Safe, stable housing is the foundation of opportunity, yet too many families in our district are being priced out of the very communities they call home. As housing costs climb, corporate landlords and speculators are buying up properties, conspiring to drive up rents, and shutting first-time and low-income buyers out of the market. That is not only unfair—it threatens the stability and diversity of our neighborhoods.

Championing Education for Our Children
A strong public education system is the cornerstone of opportunity and growth in our community. Yet too often, our teachers are underpaid, our classrooms are overcrowded, and our students lack the support they need to succeed. As someone who listens, problem-solves, and fights on behalf of others, I believe our children deserve better.
